After 15 years’ experience in academies development, in her first spell as head coach of a senior team in high-performance environment, Estefanía López delivered a season to remember with A.D. Alcorcón’s Senior Women’s side: League Champions, promotion, and Federation Cup finalists — all in the team’s inaugural year.

The club emphasized that her impressive work did not go unnoticed, revealing that she left at the end of the season after receiving an “irresistible offer” from a top club.

Midway through the campaign, Alcorcón had already announced that the team was 11 points clear at the top of the table with six matchdays remaining — a reflection of the dominance López’s squad displayed throughout the year.

Her time at the club left behind a disciplined and developmental coaching model, laying the foundations for the future growth of the women’s section and establishing a competitive culture from day one.
